This policy explains what Simplecity Apps Pty Ltd collects, why, and what we do with it, for both this website and our apps. The short version: as little as possible, and none of it is sold.

This policy is issued by Simplecity Apps Pty Ltd (ACN 627 299 138), 111 Swanston Street, Geelong VIC 3220, Australia. It applies to simplecityapps.com and, in general terms, to the apps we publish, including Shuttle Podcasts and Shuttle Music Player.
Individual apps may have their own more detailed policy where a platform requires it. The Shuttle Podcasts policy is at shuttlepodcasts.app/privacy. Where an app-specific policy is more specific than this one, it governs that app.
This website is static. It sets no cookies, loads no third-party fonts, scripts, tag managers or analytics, and does not attempt to identify or track you. There is no login and no form to fill in.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. As with any web host, Cloudflare processes standard server request logs — which include your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string — in order to serve the page and to protect the site from abuse. We do not use those logs to build any profile of visitors, and we do not combine them with any other information.
Our apps do not require you to create an account with us, and we do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or date of birth in order to use them. Your music library, your podcast subscriptions, your download queue and your playback position are stored on your device.
Our apps may collect anonymous, aggregated crash reports and basic usage analytics — for example that a screen was opened or that playback failed with a particular error — so that we can find and fix defects and understand which features are actually used. This information is not tied to your identity, and it does not include the contents of your library, the shows you subscribe to, or what you listen to. Where the platform or the app provides a setting to turn this off, turning it off is respected.
When you subscribe to a podcast or download an episode, your device fetches that feed and media directly from whoever hosts it. Those third parties will see the request in their own server logs, in the same way any podcast app or web browser would cause them to. We do not act as an intermediary for that traffic and we do not receive a copy of it.
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play or by Apple, not by us. Those companies handle your payment details under their own privacy policies. We receive confirmation that an entitlement exists, along with aggregate sales reporting; we never see your card number or your full billing details.
Crash and analytics data is retained only for as long as it is useful for diagnosing and fixing problems, and is then deleted. Server logs are retained by our host for their standard, limited period. Data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but because we hold so little information about you, there is very little for anyone to obtain.
Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
As an Australian company we handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Depending on where you live you may also have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal information we hold about you, or to complain to your local data protection authority.

We will respond within a reasonable time. In practice, because we do not hold accounts, there is often nothing associated with you for us to produce or erase — but we will always tell you so plainly rather than ignore the request.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be noted in the app or on this website.
